This is the second. A wool blend on a full zip rather than buttons, which is faster in a doorway and holds the wind out better, with several proper pockets. Warm without the weight of a heavy overcoat, and plain enough to go over a suit or a sweatshirt without looking wrong either way.
It is the coat that lives by the door from November to March.
