Some shoes need a shoehorn and a minute to lace. These step on at the door.

The upper is faux leather with a soft grain, cut plain across the toe with a small V at the instep and a pull tab at the heel. The sole edge is wrapped in thick, visible whipstitching in a contrast thread, which is the detail you notice first.

Faux leather does not crease and soften the way hide does. It will not develop a patina, but it keeps a clean, even surface.
